Here For There

On January 28 2010 all five Clutch members will be participating in Here For There, a one night only fund raising event at La Petite Mort Gallery (306 Cumberland Street, Ottawa - Byward Market) for victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Over 100 artists will be donating works, with 100% of the proceeds going towards Haiti relief. The show runs from 7 to 10 pm, so come on out, meet the artists and have fun while supporting a worthy cause! Find out more here.

Update: What a great night! Over $12,000 was raised in the three hours of the event, which will be matched dollar for dollar by the Canadian government! Congrats to Clutch member extraordinaire Michael Zavacky for an amazing job, organizing this in just two weeks!

Clare, The Universe and Everything

Clare recently gave a hilarious interview to Bruce Deachman as part of the 20 Questions series in The Citizen — among other things Clare discusses his pyjamas, the worst Christmas present he ever received, and the single word he wants on his headstone. Awesome stuff. Read it here.

Wallflowers

The Clutch group will be out in full force for the Wallflowers group art show this month at 56 Byward Market Square! It's a big show — 50 works of art on four levels to celebrate the newly renovated spaces, with Clutch joined by good friends Andy Borehol, Lawrence Callendar, Darren Holmes, Sebastian Miller and Jan Soetermans. The show went up on November 5, and the vernissage is on Thursday, November 19, 5-8 pm — which will be a family-friendly event, so bring the kiddies while you check out some great art and chat with the artists! Hope to see you there!

Grand Opening!

Clutch member Lori is happy to announce the launch of her very own online shop! The automatism atelier is where she'll be selling limited edition fine art prints, one of a kind mixed media collage work and more. Shown here is Mr. Onions, one of a limited series of four Veggie images, all hand printed on a Pearl Press dating from 1895 on acid free, 100% cotton and available from the shop.
